13 Apr 11 Magpul Dynamics BSA Drill (Helmet Cam) BCM 14.5″ Mid-length AR15

This is a “modified” version of Magpul Dynamics’ Balance of Speed and Accuracy (BSA) Drill, because I only had a smaller 25 yard range to work with instead of 100 yards. I fired a total of 112 rounds, and had 15 misses. I started at 5 yards and worked my way back to 25 yards, doing about 3 reps at each yard line, sometimes more if I was really motivated and wanting to push myself harder. Magpul’s basic Par times and round counts is 2 rounds in 2 seconds from the 5-25 yard lines. It changes up a little after that I believe. But you can shoot more rounds if you’re a more skilled shooter. You’re not limited to only shooting 2 rounds by any means, you can shoot however many you think you can fit in within the 2-second Par time, and everyone’s skill level is different. But you NEED to push yourself. If you run this drill flawlessly without any misses at all, then you pretty much failed because you did it wrong and missed the entire point of the Magpul BSA Drill. This is a really great drill that helps you to determine how fast you can individually engage targets at different ranges while maintaining good accuracy. By running this drill, you’ll figure out just how fast you can make combat effective hits on the target. If you hardly have any misses, or no misses, after you run the drill, then you’re NOT pushing yourself hard enough and need to shoot faster. But if you have around 15 or more misses, then you’ve gone past your point of failure and need to slow down your rate of
